Computer Science & Engineering (Internet of Things and Cyber security including Block chain Technology) undergraduate engineering course has been started by the institute from the academic year 2022-23 with the intake capacity of 60 seats. This programme familiarises students with the functional and operational aspects of IoT, Cyber Security and Blockchain Technology.

The students graduating from this programme shall be empowered with a detailed review of the security-related challenges and sources of threat in the IoT applications while exploring various emerging and existing technologies focused on achieving a high degree of trust in the IoT applications are taught. The interrelated four technologies, Blockchain, fog computing, edge computing, and machine learning, are also suitably explored to increase the level of security in IoT through the breadth of the program.Cyber Security is a specialized field in Information Technology (IT) which is regarded as a substream in Computer Science. Cyber Security courses aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to defend the computer operating systems, networks and data from cyber-attacks.

Cyber Security as a profession is evolving over the years, reason being the increasing rate of cyber crimes. Any industry that transacts online or carries sensitive data is in need of a Cyber Security professional to safeguard its date from such delinquents. Cyberspace being a common platform which is accessed anyone from every corner of the world, the scope of cybersecurity is equally spread across the globe.A lucrative, growing field, cybersecurity focuses on protecting organizations from digital attacks and keeping their information and networks safe. Cybersecurity experts detect vulnerabilities, recommend software and hardware programs that can mitigate risks, and develop policies and procedures for maintaining security.

Internet of Things (IoT) is a pervasive technology that interrelates computing devices, to enable transfer of data over a network, without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction. Various IoT applications focus on automating different tasks and are trying to empower the inanimate physical objects to act without any human intervention. The existing and upcoming IoT applications are highly promising to increase the level of comfort, efficiency, and automation for the users. To be able to implement such a world in an ever-growing fashion requires high security, privacy, authentication, and recovery from attacks.

Blockchain applications go far beyond cryptocurrency and bitcoin. With its ability to create more transparency and fairness while also saving businesses time and money, the technology is impacting a variety of sectors in ways that range from how contracts are enforced to making government work more efficiently. As Blockchain technology continues to evolve, so will its professional opportunities. The Blockchain is here with us to stay which means that Blockchain Expertise is to be in high demand for years and years to come. So whether you are a techie or not, a career in Blockchain is a new and exciting opportunity worth exploring
